When you subscribe to our newsletter, apply to or register for a lab program, or register for a single event.
What information do we collect from people?
You may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details needed to create a positive experience for other lab participants or other attendees.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personally identifiable information unless we provide users with advance notice. We may release information when appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
Community standards
We strive to make the Impact x Design Lab programming a safe, uplifting experience for all participants. Participation in any Impact x Design Lab event, workshop or learning experience requires adherence to the IxD Community Standards.
Payment and refund policy
Due to generous donations from our partnering sponsors, most of the cost of the Impact x Design Lab learning experiences are subsidized. If we collect payment for workshops, trainings, or other events, we do so using Stripe and Paypal. You may read about their privacy policies using the links provided.
Payments towards Impact x Design Lab workshops, trainings, and events are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
TERms of service & Other important matters
The Impact x Design Lab learning experiences are solely for a Registered Participant’s personal, noncommercial use; you may not use the learning experience in any way in exchange for monetary compensation or consideration. Individuals other than the Registered Participant may not access or view any online trainings or electronic files or use supporting materials, whether electronically or in print.
Registered Participants are expected to abide by the Impact x Design Lab Community Standards.

Any violation of the Terms of Service or Community Standards or abuse of the policies of the Impact x Design Lab will result in the immediate and permanent cessation of access to all Impact x Design Lab services and will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted under all applicable laws, treaties, and conventions.
